Cedar Sands Trail – Another Side to Sandbanks

A visit to Sandbanks Provincial Park should include a walk through a great little trail – Cedar Sands Trail.  It’s an easy, two-kilometre hike for families that loops through a variety of habitats. Keep your eyes peeled for the abundant wildlife viewings.  Check out the video.

Just wild about Harry…Potter that is

I have a confession to make: I’m not a Harry Potter fan.  I’ve never read any of the books and I’ve only seen one of the movies.  Insert your gasps here.   Yes, I know that I’m part of a very small minority but I guess I’m just not a fan of the fantasy genre.  Having said that, experiencing Harry Potter: The Exhibition at the Ontario Science Centre has sparked my interest in the series.

Summer in April

It’s not summer yet but it certainly felt like it today in the GTA with temps soaring to a record-breaking 22 degrees!  We decided to enjoy the weather by visiting the town of Kleinburg, just a 20-minute drive north of Toronto.

We had a light lunch at one of the local coffee shops, visited the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, where a fantastic exhibit
